Brand Manager, Europe

POSITION SUMMARY

The Brand Manager, Europe reports directly to the Senior Director, Marketing Europe. He/she will be responsible for projects and programmes that support the operational execution of the regional EU launch strategy in line with Fintepla’s targeted EU license indications. This position has multi-faceted responsibility with numerous contact points and requires a diverse talented individual who excels in cross-functional marketing and commercial operations collaborations, both internally and externally.

It is fundamentally important that the successful candidate demonstrates excellence in developing cross functional relationships and influence management. This is essential in an orphan disease marketing model.

 Responsibilities

  • Marketing Planning and Execution
    To support the Senior Director, Marketing, Europe in the development of the EU Marketing Plan and the implementation of assigned projects. Work in collaboration with marketing team members both within the EU and Global marketing teams
  • Project Management
    To support the Zogenix project management process by working with the Project Manager to update Clarizen- the Zogenix PM system
  • Stakeholder Management
    Engage with Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Legal and Compliance teams to facilitate partnership working and to ensure cross functional input and understanding of the Fintepla marketing strategy. Build working processes and relationships with key markets and their teams to support the central campaign implementation, and delivery of EU plan
  • Agency Liaison
    Work with those third-party agencies appointed by Zogenix to manage and ensure the completion of assigned marketing projects within the agreed timelines and budgets 
  • Marketing Planning and Implementation of Assigned Projects across Countries
    Working with Zogenix cross functional teams and third parties to plan, develop, manage and implement the marketing projects that you have responsibility for ensuring they are delivered within budget and the agreed time frames.
    Monitor and measure the effectiveness of projects in terms of supporting the marketing goals in order to report back to the Marketing Director and evolve projects based on insight
  • Veeva Promo Mats
    Support the commercial lead for Veeva Promo Mats to ensure SOPs and work instructions are adhered to during the development of campaign materials and projects.  Be responsible for the approval of your own projects and support the review of other EU commercially led initiatives where appropriate
  • Congress Support: Post license support development of promotional stand and congress presence
  • Leads by example to create a work environment consistent with Zogenix Core Values and upholds the Zogenix EU Commercial Team ethos
  • Other duties as required

 Qualifications

  • Essential: University degree in a life science or business discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and proven success in the pharma/biotech industry
  • Desirable: Marketing qualification desirable 

OTHER SKILLS

 Essential:

  • Demonstrable and meaningful commercial experience in brand management/marketing in the biopharmaceutical industry within Europe
  • Demonstrated experience in the conception, development and execution of marketing programmes and tactics
  • Detailed working knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice
  • Effective presentation skills (various internal and external audiences)
  • Excellent project management skills

 Desirable:

  • Specific knowledge of refractory epilepsies and / or neurology
  • Sales experience
  • Demonstrated alignment with Zogenix’s values and culture
  • Ability to drive a large workload
  • Good organisational and influencing skills
