Sr. Manager, Marketing

The Sr. Manager, Marketing will be responsible for the successful launch of FINTEPLA in Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome.  This professional will serve as the marketing point for the LGS launch and participate in the cross-functional US core launch team.  Actively participate and provide brand input and direction on LGS Launch subteams.  They will develop market and product insights, positioning and strategies, aligned with current FINTEPLA Brand team and indications.

Primary Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned: 

  • Lead FINTEPLA marketing and cross functional launch team to develop and execute market strategies and plans for the launch of FINTEPLA in new indication: Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS)
  • Responsible for the successful launch of FINTEPLA in LGS in the US
  • Lead and provide direction to market analysis and planning, design market strategies and optimize product positioning
  • Identifies and seeks input from key external experts (KOLs, Caregivers, Advocacy), leads advisory boards and KOL engagement activities
  • Align with FINTEPLA Brand Team to develop actionable strategies and plans that are synergist with other indications. Develop KPIs, measure and adjust plans as needed.
  • Collaborates on the development of the annual strategic marketing and tactical plans and lifecycle plan for FINTEPLA
  • Partner with sales training team to develop & deliver training material for the successful launch
  • Establish effective partnership across matrix partners and work closely with Commercial Operations, Sales, Sales Training, Market Access, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Finance and other matrix partners to influence and ensure success of the launch
  • Collaborate with advocacy team to develop effective strategies that engage PAGs and their constituents
  • Maximize synergies with other products and indications in Zogenix portfolio
  • Carry out projects and assignments as assigned by the Executive Director FINTEPLA Marketing



  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of experience in healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing, sales, and/or new product planning, including 2+ years of highly successful launch leadership experience
  • Ability to travel 25-30% of the time


  • MBA and/or other advanced degree
  • 6+ years of experience in leading launch preparation and commercializing therapies/new indications for chronic or rare disorders
  • Expert in harnessing critical market insights, in complex rare diseases and/or epilepsy, across various stakeholders (professional, consumer, payor), into actionable strategies
  • Proven ability to use highly analytical thinking and conceptualize current and future markets, products, and business situations
  • Demonstrated successful experience in leading cross-functional launch teams and working in matrix organizations
