Zogenix Grants & Charitable Giving

Zogenix is pleased to provide opportunities for unrestricted grants in support of independent medical education activities for health care professionals and organizations who request funds for a specific project, meeting, or other organized initiative that is in alignment with the company’s areas of interest.

Additionally, Zogenix offers charitable contributions to local, national, and international organizations that support the company’s therapeutic areas of interest.

The Zogenix Grants Committee is committed to supporting innovative, high-quality, educational activities (both accredited CE as well as non-CE) and sponsorships for health care professionals and consumer organizations who target unmet needs and foster clinical excellence.

Zogenix Grants – Areas of Interest

Zogenix currently considers funding of activities related to the following disease states:

  • Dravet Syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, Other Developmental & Epileptic Encephalopathies, and SUDEP
  • Thymidine Kinase 2 Deficiency (TK2d)

Zogenix is pleased to provide opportunities for Grants in support of specific educational programs that may provide for better management of conditions in therapeutic areas aligned with the company’s expertise and research. Our current focus includes supporting educational activities that address the needs of patients with

  • Dravet syndrome and other Developmental & Epileptic Encephalopathies (i.e., diagnosis, treatment, impact on quality of life) or
  • Thymidine Kinase 2 deficiency and other mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) depletion disorders (MDDs,) caused by impaired mtDNA synthesis (i.e., diagnosis, treatment, impact on quality of life).

Zogenix is fully committed to strict compliance with all applicable regulations and codes governing all activities and contributions of the company. Zogenix follows the requirements of the Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (“OIG Guidelines”), the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals (“PhRMA Code”), the FDA Guidance to Industry Supported Scientific and Educational Activities, and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (“ACCME”) Standards for Commercial Support.

Professional societies and associations, academic medical centers, institutions dedicated to the teaching of medicine, nursing, and pharmacy, teaching hospitals, accredited educational providers, medical education companies, and disease-related consumer organizations are encouraged to apply for unrestricted grants.
